Landing in the Leavenworth area can be tricky. There are a number of properties that look like good landing sites, however, most of these are off limits unless you have permission due to private property concerns. The new designated landing zone is outlined in green in this photo. It is 14 acres and is bordered by Ski Hill Drive on the east and Ranger Road on the north. This is a private landing area and does require  a current USHPA P3 (or higher) rating and registering with the Tumwater Mountain Flight Park through one of their representatives. A site orientation is also mandatory for all pilots prior to any landings. Recreational tandem flights are not allowed to land here without permission. Parking at the landing zone is available on the east side of Ski Hill Drive (do not block the entry gate or park on private property). Large groups are advised to use the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club parking lot to organize groups (**please respect that the church on Wheeler street has asked us to stop using their parking lot.**)  Contact Leavenworth Paragliding or speak with a local pilot for up to date information on other available landing areas.
